Mid-Level Leveraged Finance Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Leveraged Finance Associate in New York. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team representing private equity sponsors, corporate issuers, borrowers, lenders, and other financial institutions in diverse debt finance transactions.

Duties

• Represent private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and lenders in debt finance transactions.
• Participate as a key member of deal teams, managing signings and closings.
• Draft and negotiate debt commitment papers and credit documentation.
• Engage with middle-market private equity transactions.
• Collaborate with alternative credit providers and private lenders.

Requirements

• Four to five years of substantive experience in leveraged finance.
• Experience in acquisition financings, ABLs, term loan facilities, and recapitalizations.
• Ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
• Admitted to and a member in good standing of the NY Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
