Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and industrious attorney to join its Estate and Trust Litigation, Estate Planning, and Administration practice group in Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in handling complex estate matters and possess a strong commitment to client service.

Duties

  • Draft substantive complaints, motions, oppositions, and other pleadings for contested matters.
  • Research and prepare memorandums for various probate issues.
  • Draft and respond to interrogatories, subpoenas, and document requests.
  • Attend meetings and court hearings.
  • Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Collaborate with financial professionals to minimize estate taxes.
  • Establish and manage trusts to protect client assets.
  • Administer estates with strong paralegal support.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of substantive experience in estate planning and administration.
  • Experience in Orphans' Court litigation preferred.
  • Experience in succession and business planning preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff, and clients.
  • Forward-thinking, organized, and a team player.
  • Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar required.
