Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Linthicum Heights, MD, to join their expanding practice. The role involves engaging in family law matters such as divorce, adoptions, and custody filings, while collaborating with senior attorneys and participating in a comprehensive development program.

Duties

• Bill at least 30 hours per week.
• Engage in client intake and acquisition for 5 hours weekly.
• Maintain a client collection rate above 75% weekly.
• Collaborate with the financial team for weekly billing forecasts.
• Represent clients in court and legal proceedings.
• Mentor junior associates and support staff.
• Manage a schedule of hearings and court appearances.
• Advise staff on legal matters and law interpretation.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland; additional state bars are a plus.
• Experience in domestic and civil litigation preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education
