Senior Associate Attorney - Domestic/Civil Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney specializing in Domestic and Civil Litigation in Linthicum Heights, MD. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic legal team and contribute to a growing practice in the mid-Atlantic region.

Duties

• Bill at least 28 hours per week, approximately 1600 hours annually.
• Represent clients in court and through family law and civil legal proceedings.
• Maintain a client collection rate above 85% weekly.
• Collaborate with the financial team to forecast client billings.
• Lead and develop a team of one Associate and one Paralegal.
• Participate in the firm's client lifecycle development program.
• Manage a regular schedule of hearings and court appearances.
• Advise staff on legal matters and interpretation of laws and statutes.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland; additional state bars are a plus.
• Experience in litigating domestic and civil cases preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with persuasive ability.
• Superior work ethic and desire to build a lifelong legal career.
• Organized with effective time management and multitasking skills.
• Knowledgeable in family law areas and willing to expand expertise.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents related to family law.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Maryland.
