Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Executive Compensation Associate to join its Boston office. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of experience in executive compensation matters, working on diverse issues including mergers and acquisitions, public company offerings, and general advising.

Duties

  • Advise on executive compensation matters related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Handle public company offerings and reporting obligations.
  • Provide general advising and counseling on compensation issues.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of experience in executive compensation.
  • Familiarity with Sections 409A, 280G, 83, and 421-424 of the U.S. tax code.
  • Knowledge of securities laws governing employee incentives.
  • Admission in the jurisdiction of application is required.

Education

  • Superior academic credentials required.

Certifications

  • Relevant certifications in tax and securities law preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong background in tax and securities law.
