Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Public M&A Mid/Senior Associate to join their team in New York. The role involves working on high-profile M&A transactions within the Technology and Life Sciences sectors, focusing on public companies.

Duties

  • Engage in M&A transactions involving public companies on both sellside and buyside.
  • Advise clients on related securities laws.
  • Collaborate with teams across Technology, Life Sciences, Real Estate, and Financial Services practices.
  • Develop versatile skill sets as a strategic advisor.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of general M&A and transactional experience.
  • Experience with Tech and/or Life Sciences industries preferred.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Comparable law firm experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
  • Deal sheet required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective client communication and relationship management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
