Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced criminal law attorney to join their team as a Senior Associate or Junior Partner in Charlotte, North Carolina. The firm is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services and is looking for a highly skilled attorney to uphold their tradition of excellence.

Duties

  • Represent clients in criminal law matters, including domestic violence, assault, and drug charges.
  • Manage a caseload with minimal supervision and provide regular client updates.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Engage in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff for seamless case management.
  • Participate in business development, including networking events.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals.

 

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
  • 2-10 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and mediation abilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in business development is a plus.

 

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with a state bar association.
