Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Government Procurement Partner with at least 10 years of experience to join their Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in guiding businesses through the government procurement process, offering strategic advice on statutory and regulatory challenges. A minimum of $400k in portable business is required.

Duties

  • Guide businesses through federal, state, and municipal procurement processes.
  • Provide strategic advice on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DFARS issues.
  • Handle bid protests and requests for equitable adjustments.
  • Address ITAR, trade, and customs issues.
  • Review and negotiate procurement contracts and related agreements.
  • Lead and grow the government procurement practice.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 10+ years of experience in government procurement and commercial contracting.
  • Valid license to practice law in the jurisdiction of the position.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Valid law license in the relevant jurisdiction.
