National Security Senior Associate

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a National Security Senior Associate to join their Washington, DC office. The successful candidate will have over six years of experience advising on U.S. national security regulatory regimes, including economic sanctions, export controls, and outbound investment restrictions.

Duties

• Provide compliance advice on economic sanctions, export controls, and outbound investment.
• Advise clients on CFIUS and DCSA processes, including transaction agreement negotiation and filing preparation.
• Conduct internal investigations and prepare voluntary disclosures.
• Support settlement negotiations with enforcement authorities.

Requirements

• Substantial experience with OFAC, EAR/BIS, ITAR/DDTC, and OGT matters.
• Experience in compliance with mitigation measures.
• Strong writing skills with two written work samples required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
