Job Overview
A leading law firm in Miami Beach, Florida is seeking a Immigration Attorney with specialized experience in Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and related case challenges. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to humanitarian and family-based immigration advocacy through sophisticated legal strategy, collaboration with dedicated case teams, and meaningful community impact. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and passionate about advancing clients' legal status through effective, well-supported submissions.

Duties

  • Review and analyze RFEs, NOIDs, and denial notices from USCIS and other immigration authorities

  • Draft compelling legal responses, affidavits, and supporting briefs addressing immigration challenges

  • Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and clients to collect relevant evidence and documentation

  • Advise clients on case strategies and legal options in response to USCIS requests or denials

  • Conduct in-depth legal research to strengthen case arguments and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Supervise and mentor junior legal staff and paralegals in preparation and review of submissions

  • Manage multiple cases and critical deadlines with attention to detail and procedural accuracy

  • Stay current with evolving immigration laws, adjudication trends, and USCIS policies

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience practicing immigration law, specifically in humanitarian and family-based immigration

  • Strong understanding of RFEs, NOIDs, and USCIS adjudication trends

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases and deadlines efficiently

  • Experience advising clients on removal defense, asylum, and humanitarian relief (e.g., T visas, U visas, VAWA)

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-based, client-centered environment

  • Writing sample required (legal brief preferred; redact personal details as needed)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (in good standing)

Skills

  • Excellent legal research and writing

  • Analytical and detail-oriented approach to complex casework

  • Proficiency in reading and writing English

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills

  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with case management systems and USCIS filing procedures

  • Comfort with advanced computer applications and the ability to learn new legal tech platforms quickly
