Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Government Contracts Associate in Washington, D.C. to provide strategic legal counsel on federal procurement matters, including bid protests, contract claims, and compliance counseling.

Duties

• Research and draft bid protests, claims, and other written advocacy.
• Advise clients on contract formation and performance issues.
• Counsel on subcontracting, flow-down obligations, and data rights compliance.
• Provide guidance on disclosure, audit, investigative, and dispute strategies.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in government contracts matters preferred.
• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, GAO, and Court of Federal Claims bid protests.
• Experience with Contract Disputes Act claims and internal investigations.
• Knowledge of suspension, debarment, and False Claims Act counseling.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Commitment to client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
