Duties

  • Develop and execute discovery strategies from early case assessment through trial phases.
  • Counsel case teams on preservation obligations and defensibility of methodologies.
  • Lead negotiations on ESI protocols and search strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate discovery-related risks.
  • Advise on key custodians and data sources.
  • Facilitate data mapping initiatives with clients and stakeholders.
  • Design early case assessment strategies using advanced analytics.
  • Oversee document review workflows and validate defensible processes.
  • Provide guidance on privilege management and logging strategies.
  • Manage discovery budgets and cost-control strategies.
  • Supervise review teams and coordinate with vendors.
  • Train attorneys and staff on eDiscovery best practices.
  • Stay updated on developments in eDiscovery law and technology.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 8-12 years of litigation experience with discovery strategy responsibility.
  • Experience in large-scale electronic document reviews and productions.
  • Background in complex commercial litigation or regulatory investigations preferred.
  • Proven success in client-facing advisory roles.
  • Expertise in ESI management and review workflows.
  • Proficiency with review platforms and analytics tools.
  • Strong command of eDiscovery law and best practices.
  • Experience with TAR and AI-driven review tools.
  • Knowledge of privilege review processes and risk mitigation.
  • Exceptional strategic judgment and leadership presence.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes matters simultaneously.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
