Job Overview

A law firm seeks a seasoned Commercial/Residential Landlord-Tenant Attorney in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in litigating landlord-tenant matters in Civil Court and/or Supreme Court, with a strong background in drafting legal documents and conducting depositions.

Duties

  • Litigate landlord-tenant cases in Civil and Supreme Court.
  • Draft predicate notices, pleadings, and motions.
  • Negotiate and draft complex settlement agreements.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of court experience in landlord-tenant litigation.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting depositions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent computer and research skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
