Duties

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies to preserve wealth and minimize taxes.
  • Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills and trusts.
  • Develop sophisticated estate and tax planning strategies for high-net-worth clients.
  • Handle estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings.
  • Review client assets to tailor personalized estate plans.
  • Coordinate with financial advisors and accountants for seamless estate plan execution.
  • Represent clients in probate court for contested and uncontested matters.
  • Stay current on tax laws and estate planning trends.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide ongoing counsel.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in the state of practice.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • Expertise in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Experience with complex and high-value estates.
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload independently.
  • Knowledge of tax law related to estate planning (CPA or LLM in Taxation is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
