Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Trusts and Estates to join its team in Northbrook, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning and administration, and will work in a collaborative environment to provide exceptional service to clients.

Duties

  • Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Manage all phases of trust and estate administration, including probate and non-probate matters.
  • Prepare and review relevant court filings and accounting documentation.
  • Communicate with clients, fiduciaries, and financial institutions regarding ongoing administration matters.
  • Maintain organized files and ensure timely progression of matters.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, meeting their needs professionally.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to estates and trusts, advising clients accordingly.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Illinois and in good standing.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in trusts and estates.
  • Experience with estate and gift tax returns is a plus.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in Illinois.
