Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join the Global Transportation Finance team in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex international and domestic transactions, focusing on financing, leasing, acquisition, and disposition of aviation, rail, maritime, and general equipment assets.

Duties

• Collaborate with shareholders on business development and client-facing activities.
• Manage multiple transactional matters simultaneously.
• Draft and negotiate contracts effectively.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of transactional experience at a law firm.
• Experience in securitization, leveraged finance, secured lending, or related fields.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Admitted in or taking steps to become admitted in California, Illinois, Texas, or Florida.

Education

• J.D. degree or equivalent with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
