Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney to join their team in Denver, CO. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for remote work with occasional in-office meetings. The firm is dedicated to providing compassionate legal services to families navigating legal challenges.

Duties

  • Conduct initial client consultations.
  • Manage cases from start to Permanent Orders.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with paralegals to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Meet with paralegals and attorneys weekly to review case status.
  • Provide excellent client communication by updating clients on case developments.
  • Collaborate with managing attorneys biweekly to discuss case progress and strategy.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and depositions regularly.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Admitted to practice law in Colorado.
  • Experience in legal writing and research (Lexis-Nexis preferred).
  • Understanding of the rules of discovery and evidence.
  • Strong background in family law and trial skills (at least 4 years).
  • Experience with taking cases from start to Permanent Orders, Post Decree, and appeals.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and client-centered legal services.
  • Experience or interest in working with diverse communities.
  • Meet a minimum billing target each month.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
