Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Labor Law Attorney in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction litigation defense, particularly with Labor Law Sections 240(1) and 241(6), and contractual indemnification issues. The attorney will manage cases independently while collaborating with team leaders.

Duties

  • Manage and report on cases to clients and carriers.
  • Appear in court for conferences and motions.
  • Comply with discovery and coordinate medical examinations.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare and file motions.

Requirements

  • Admitted to the New York Bar; additional Bars in NJ, CT, or PA are a plus.
  • Substantive experience in construction litigation defense.
  • Strong Labor Law deposition experience.
  • General knowledge of negligence cases preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the New York State Bar.
