Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney to join its growing business practice. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with an accomplished team of attorneys across multiple offices while supporting a diverse range of business clients in industries such as consumer goods and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements and possess a portable book of business. Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including Manufacturing Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Sales Broker Agreements, Raw Material Supply Agreements, Packaging Supply Agreements, Equipment Leases, Equipment Purchase Agreements, and Product Purchase and Sale/Supply Agreements.

  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients across a range of business sectors.

  • Collaborate with attorneys from multiple office locations to support client needs.

  • Maintain and grow client relationships through high-quality service and responsive communication.

  • Manage multiple projects efficiently and take ownership of significant responsibilities.

  • Participate in firm-sponsored diversity, equity, inclusion, and pro bono initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience handling commercial contracts with a strong foundation in contract law and risk management principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across various industries.

  • Strong client-service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High attention to detail, superior organizational abilities, and capacity to manage concurrent projects.

  • An established portable book of business is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Advanced drafting, negotiation, and contract analysis skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

  • Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving abilities.
