Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Carlsbad, CA office. This full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity for a motivated individual with at least one year of litigation experience to advance their career in a supportive environment. While prior employment law experience is preferred, it is not required.

Duties

  • Litigate and defend a diverse range of employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, and wage disputes.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions, and prepare for mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel on employment law issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • At least 1+ year of civil litigation experience; employment law experience preferred.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a desire to work independently and in a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
