Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney for their Washington, DC offices to manage and supervise patent prosecution, due diligence, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry/small molecules and experience in handling large client portfolios globally.

Duties

  • Manage and supervise patent prosecution, due diligence, and FTO work.
  • Oversee day-to-day supervision and training of technical specialists and junior attorneys.
  • Lead client meetings and provide strategic counseling.
  • Handle large client portfolios on a global scale.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Licensed to practice before the USPTO and in a state where the firm has an office.

Education

  • Science background in organic chemistry/small molecules required.
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred.

Certifications

  • USPTO registration.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and client management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
