Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney for their Employment Class Action department in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves advocating for clients in cases of employee misclassification, overtime wage violations, and other worker rights issues, aiming for significant settlements and verdicts.

Duties

  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Develop and form arguments and represent clients in wage and hour matters.

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Employment Class Action.
  • Superior analytical and legal research skills.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to exercise common sense in complex situations.
  • Adaptable and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Reliably commute to or planning to relocate to Los Angeles, CA (90010).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • California State Bar license.
