Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Senior Associate in New York, NY to address public and private international law and civil law matters. The role involves coordinating teams to review and prepare legal documentation for international disputes and discovery. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Duties

  • Coordinate teams in reviewing and preparing legal documentation for international disputes.
  • Advise and represent Latin American clients in international arbitrations and negotiations.
  • Prepare and respond to document requests in international arbitrations.
  • Support and deliver written and oral arguments before international arbitration tribunals.
  • Work with witnesses and experts, including cross-examining and defending them before tribunals.
  • Advise and represent clients in U.S. state and federal courts, including proceedings related to arbitration.

Requirements

  • JD, LLM, or foreign equivalent.
  • Four years of experience as an Associate or in a related occupation.
  • Experience advising and representing clients in international arbitrations.
  • Experience preparing document requests and handling documents in arbitrations.
  • Experience with written and oral arguments before arbitration tribunals.
  • Experience working with witnesses and experts in arbitration contexts.
  • Admitted to practice law in the State of New York.

Education

  • JD, LLM, or foreign equivalent.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in New York.

Skills

  • Strong coordination and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in handling international arbitration cases.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse clients and experts.
