Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated tax attorney with seven or more years of transactional tax experience to join their Tax Credit and Impact Finance group in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions utilizing new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and/or renewable energy investment tax credits.

Duties

  • Advise clients on tax credit transactions and impact finance matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to tax credit transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to structure tax credit deals.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax credit issues.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of transactional tax experience.
  • Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs preferred.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Active license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
