Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced E-Discovery Attorney to join their team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in managing all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and will be adept at handling trial- and investigation-related data management.

Duties

  • Correspond with clients and forensic vendors on data identification and preservation.
  • Draft and negotiate ESI agreements and e-discovery stipulations.
  • Participate in Rule 26(f) discovery planning conferences.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on e-discovery issues.
  • Manage search terms, analytics, and AI/TAR workflows.
  • Oversee document review teams and conduct quality assurance checks.
  • Manage e-discovery vendor relationships and review invoices.
  • Support information governance initiatives and document retention policies.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in Massachusetts, New York, California, Florida, or Washington DC.
  • Minimum 5 years of e-discovery and litigation support experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, particularly Rules 26, 34, and 37(e).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize competing priorities.
  • Experience managing e-discovery vendor relationships.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in relevant jurisdictions.

Skills

  • Proficiency with leading e-discovery platforms, including RelativityOne.
  • Ability to validate TAR/CAL/GenAI document reviews.
  • Experience with client data identification and collection calls.
  • Understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
  • Knowledge of digital forensic collection concepts and tools.
