Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level litigation associate with 5-7 years of experience to join its Complex Business Litigation practice in Boston. The associate will engage in high-profile disputes for sophisticated clients, working alongside leading trial lawyers in a collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Handle matters involving breach of contract, bankruptcy, business torts, fiduciary duty claims, securities, and regulatory investigations.
  • Manage all phases of complex litigation, including factual development, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Coordinate large-scale document discovery and address eDiscovery issues.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience handling sophisticated commercial disputes.
  • Background at a top law firm with a nationally recognized litigation practice preferred.
  • Prior judicial clerkship experience preferred, particularly in federal district or appellate courts.
  • Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience drafting dispositive motions, discovery motions, briefs, and other substantive filings.
  • Outstanding academic credentials and sound judgment.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work in fast-paced litigation teams.
  • Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar or eligible for admission.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
