A law firm seeks an experienced Of Counsel to join its Project & Energy Finance team, specializing in financing for energy transition and digital infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking international projects and contribute to innovative financing solutions in the rapidly evolving energy transition sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive project finance experience, focusing on energy and digital infrastructure.

Duties

  • Work on complex financing transactions within the energy transition and digital infrastructure sectors.
  • Draft and negotiate loan and security agreements, ensuring all necessary documents are prepared and executed.
  • Coordinate complex project closings, ensuring all aspects of the transaction are addressed.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop innovative financing solutions.
  • Advise clients on legal issues related to project financing and energy transition strategies.
  • Provide strategic guidance and legal support to clients throughout the lifecycle of their projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in project finance or related fields such as energy transition or digital infrastructure financing.
  • Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating complex loan and security documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute complex project closings efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Expertise in project finance transactions, particularly in energy transition and digital infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis.
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
