General Liability Attorney

Job Overview:
A multi-office litigation firm is seeking a senior-level General Liability Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. This role involves handling complex defense matters across multiple jurisdictions, with flexibility for hybrid or remote work depending on circumstances.

Duties:

• Manage a high-volume caseload involving general liability defense matters such as premises liability, transportation, product liability, and commercial disputes
• Handle all stages of litigation from case intake through trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses, and prepare dispositive motions
• Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
• Advise insurers and corporate clients, providing litigation strategy and case updates
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and firm initiatives
• Support business development and client relationship efforts

Requirements:

• 8–12 years of experience in general liability defense litigation
• Admission to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently and efficiently
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Experience handling complex, multi-jurisdictional matters

Education and Certifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
