Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Springfield, MO. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3+ years of experience in litigation and trial preparation, eager to apply their skills in a dynamic legal environment. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys in civil litigation and corporate law, gaining valuable experience in trials and business-related legal matters.

Duties

  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants on transactional and real estate matters.
  • Draft and prepare contracts, lease agreements, and real estate documents.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing real estate transactional documents and supporting homeowner association matters.
  • Support business clients with entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence.
  • Review, analyze, and revise contracts and legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with litigation attorneys to prepare for trial.

Requirements

  • One to three plus years of experience in the legal field.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal laws and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and people skills.
  • Ability to handle caseloads and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with corporate professionals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

  • A law degree from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Actively licensed in Missouri.

  • Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
