Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in Springfield, MO. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in handling insurance coverage disputes within the commercial insurance sector. Experience with various types of insurance coverage, including commercial general liability and professional liability, is preferred. The role involves extensive client communication and participation in all phases of complex commercial litigation.

Duties

• Review and analyze commercial insurance policies and claim files.
• Draft insurance coverage evaluations and position letters.
• Conduct legal research to support coverage evaluations and litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court, depositions, and mediations.
• Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload.
• Collaborate with partners on complex litigation matters.
• Communicate effectively with all parties involved in litigation.
• Participate in strategy discussions and case planning.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently and productively.

Education
