Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Attorney with significant PTAB experience to join their team in New York City, NY. This role involves leading inter partes review petitions and defenses, requiring a strong technical background in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or electrical engineering.

Duties

  • Lead and manage post grant proceedings independently.
  • Produce high-quality legal work and provide excellent client services.
  • Develop new business ideas through group and individual efforts.
  • Manage multiple legal matters at different stages from inception to conclusion.
  • Comply with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

Requirements

  • Significant PTAB experience, including IPR petitions and defenses.
  • Technical background in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or electrical engineering.
  • Strong academic credentials and large law firm or top boutique experience.
  • Demonstrable research and writing skills.
  • Ability to build client and peer relationships in a team-oriented culture.
  • A book of business is required ($175,000+).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar.
