Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join their Trusts and Estates and Business team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Duties

  • Counsel clients on estate planning, wealth transfer, asset protection, and estate administration.
  • Draft revocable and irrevocable trusts and other estate planning documents.
  • Provide guidance on estate and gift tax matters, including supervising tax return preparation.
  • Research and analyze complex legal and tax issues.
  • Prepare and review contracts and business filings for closely-held businesses.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve client goals.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the trusts and estates field.
  • Experience drafting complex estate planning documents for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Solid knowledge of estate and gift tax rules.
  • Experience with estate and trust administration.
  • Experience with business formations and corporate transactions is desirable.
  • Strong writing ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
