A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in New York, NY. The attorney will manage multiple cases, provide legal counsel, conduct research, and draft documents under the guidance of an assigned Partner.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of insurance defense matters, including discovery and court appearances.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and case value.
• Appear before courts and participate in mediations and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions.
• Collaborate with legal teams on case strategy and client communication.
• Manage case files and maintain client communication.
• Stay informed on relevant laws and legal trends.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in insurance defense litigation or related field.
• Must be a member in good standing with the New York and/or New Jersey Bar.
• Admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Membership in good standing with the New York and/or New Jersey Bar.
