Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced USPTO registered Patent Agent with a focus on Chemistry for their Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate will have over three years of relevant experience in patent prosecution, preferably within a law firm environment. A technical or advanced degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required, along with experience in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, or Small Molecule prosecution.

Duties

  • Conduct patent prosecution and client counseling.
  • Prepare opinions and engage in patent office litigation (IPR/PGR proceedings).
  • Provide technical writing support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in patent prosecution.
  • Experience in a law firm setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in technical writing is a plus.

Education

  • Technical or advanced degree in Chemistry or related field.

Certifications

  • Active USPTO Registration Number required.
