Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Associate to join its Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Practice in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably from an AmLaw 100 or 200 firm, and a strong background in advising on complex transactions across various industries.

Duties

• Advise financial sponsors, portfolio companies, founders, and investors on complex transactions.
• Counsel clients in the health care services sector, including post-acute care and digital health.
• Manage transactions independently while collaborating with a team.
• Integrate legal technology and innovative frameworks into deal processes.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of Private Equity and M&A experience.
• Experience in a law firm or similar environment.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.

Skills

• Superior writing and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with design thinking and disruptive innovation principles.
• Experience with joint ventures and emerging health care business models.
