Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Privacy, Technology, and IP Attorney in Los Angeles, California. This role involves joining a dynamic team focused on intellectual property and technology transactional law and litigation, privacy, AI, and data governance. The position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.

Duties

  • Manage a litigation caseload and counsel clients in IP, data privacy, technology, and AI governance/compliance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and partners on legal projects.
  • Prosecute and defend lawsuits involving copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and trade libel.
  • Advise clients on data privacy compliance, AI governance, and data governance matters.
  • Prepare and review privacy notices, internal policies, and third-party risk management.
  • Advise on transactional matters including purchase and sale agreements and licensing agreements.
  • Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

 

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the State of California.
  • 5 - 15 years of experience with intellectual property litigation.
  • Federal/State court litigation experience with demonstrated motion writing and arguing skills.
  • Experience taking/defending depositions.
  • Experience with privacy, AI, and data governance litigation preferred.
  • Experience with advertising law, art law, fashion law, internet law, and/or transactional matters is a plus.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in IP is a strong plus.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, client service, and communication skills.
  • Legal project management experience is helpful.

 

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the State of California.
