Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with three to five years of experience to join its national practice in Washington, D.C. The candidate will handle a variety of nonprofit organization legal matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, tax-exemption issues, and compliance with fundraising and political activities regulations.

Duties

  • Advise on entity formation and corporate governance for nonprofit organizations.
  • Manage federal and state tax-exemption matters.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising and political activities regulations.
  • Draft and review contracts and general business law documents.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of relevant legal experience.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
