Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Orlando, FL. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload and collaborate with attorneys and support staff. A minimum of two years of experience as an attorney, with expertise in real estate law and title review/clearance, is required. The candidate must be licensed in Florida.

Duties

  • Review documentation related to judicial foreclosures for compliance with laws.
  • Interpret loan documents to identify and address issues with clients.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
  • Review title reports promptly and recommend solutions for title issues.
  • Cure title issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Evaluate and provide legal opinions on title examinations and related documents.
  • Create and edit reports, opinions, and correspondence.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Manage an independent caseload and make informed decisions.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors and team members.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
  • Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations.
  • Membership and good standing with the FL State Bar.
  • 2 years of related experience in real estate, title, or financial services.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Membership with the Florida State Bar.

Skills

  • Manage a portfolio of files for clients.
  • Navigate local and Florida jurisdictional requirements.
  • Communicate courteously and professionally with various stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Self-starter with strong time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and internet research.
