Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Energy and Infrastructure practice in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy projects, particularly in renewable energy and energy storage, focusing on energy offtake work.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate renewable energy power purchase agreements.
  • Handle corporate PPAs and energy storage offtake agreements.
  • Manage offtakes for carbon removal credits and nuclear offtakes.
  • Work on renewable energy credit agreements and hedging agreements.
  • Engage in resource adequacy sales agreements, ISDAs, and EEI agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with clients in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 3-9+ years of relevant experience in energy projects.
  • Strong academic credentials and superior communication skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar in the candidate's expected location.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client relationship management.
