A law firm seeks a Public Finance Attorney to join its office in Durham, North Carolina. Duties

  • Represent public sector clients in various public finance transactions, including general obligation and revenue bonds.
  • Serve as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter's counsel, or borrower's counsel.
  • Advise clients on North Carolina public finance law and related regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and review bond documents and transaction materials.
  • Participate in client meetings and collaborate with financial professionals.
  • Support business development and contribute to client relationships.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina, or ability to obtain licensure promptly.
  • Experience in public finance, municipal law, or government representation preferred.
  • Familiarity with government financing structures and tax considerations.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters effectively and work independently and as part of a team.

Education
