Duties

  • Advise clients on creditor rights, collections, and litigation matters
  • Handle disputes involving mineral liens and oil and gas service companies
  • Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, including business and probate-related issues
  • Negotiate pre-suit claims and settlements
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
  • Manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff on case strategy and firm initiatives

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in bankruptcy, creditor rights, or collections-related matters
  • Ability to manage complex matters independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptability and willingness to contribute across various legal matters

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Texas
