Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and insurance defense, managing cases from inception through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work with experienced attorneys and diverse clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court, hearings, and mediations.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

• 4+ years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience.
• Experience handling cases from inception through resolution.
• Strong motion practice and deposition experience.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Experience with insurance coverage, general liability, or related practice areas preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
