A law firm seeks a Probate and Estate Planning Supervising Attorney in Washington, District of Columbia. Duties

  • Supervise and guide legal team members in estate administration and planning cases.
  • Provide feedback on case strategy and work product.
  • Manage case planning and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Lead case review meetings and co-counsel cases as needed.
  • Engage in community outreach and education initiatives.
  • Assist with drafting and implementing organizational policies.
  • Represent the firm in external stakeholder meetings.
  • Maintain a modest caseload and participate in professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Membership or eligibility for membership in the District of Columbia Bar.
  • Minimum three years' experience in legal services, government, or private practice.
  • Background in probate law or estate planning preferred.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in DC Superior Court preferred.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Excel.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the District of Columbia Bar.
