Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Projects Associate to join its team in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience in domestic and international business transactions, particularly in the energy sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects involving renewable energy, energy storage, and power generation technologies.

Duties

  • Advise clients on energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project development.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence for M&A deals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal changes.
  • Assist on other legal matters concerning project development and M&A as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in business transactions and corporate matters.
  • Strong focus on the energy sector.
  • Experience with renewable energy market transactions is helpful.
  • Law firm mergers & acquisitions or project finance experience preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
