Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate in New York, NY, to join their Corporate Asset Management team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in asset management M&A, including GP stakes and control asset management transactions.

Duties

  • Advise on M&A and investment fund transactions.
  • Handle full buy-out and control transactions.
  • Manage minority GP stakes transactions.
  • Facilitate joint venture transactions.
  • Oversee management team spin-outs and carve-out transactions.
  • Conduct corporate restructurings and succession planning.
  • Provide additional liquidity solutions, including continuation fund transactions.
  • Address investment regulatory, enforcement, and compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of experience in asset management M&A.
  • Experience with GP stakes and control asset management transactions.
  • Ability to counsel a diverse array of clients, including asset managers and financial institutions.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
