Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate for its New York City office. This role offers the opportunity to work with experienced litigators in a dynamic environment, providing meaningful responsibility and professional growth.

Duties

• Independently handle all phases of litigation.
• Draft and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare, draft, and argue motions.
• Participate in court conferences and oral arguments.
• Manage case strategy and day-to-day litigation responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on complex matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of defense litigation experience.
• Admitted to practice in New York.
• Superior academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
