Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in construction law to join their team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated legal matters within a collaborative environment, focusing on delivering exceptional legal services and building lasting client relationships.

Duties

  • Manage assigned cases from inception to resolution, developing strategies for successful outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and provide informed advice.
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including contracts and pleadings.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case progress and next steps.
  • Represent clients in negotiations to achieve favorable resolutions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues across practice areas.
  • Ensure compliance with professional conduct standards and firm policies.
  • Assist in financial management of cases, including setting retainers and managing payment schedules.
  • Stay updated with legal developments and complete required Continuing Legal Education (CLE).

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar or eligibility to waive in.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction law, with exposure to real estate development, contracting, or procurement preferred.
  • Experience in a law firm or corporate legal setting.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented professional.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.
