Collections Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Collections Attorney with substantial experience in handling collections matters. The candidate will manage a caseload focused on debt collection, foreclosure, and bankruptcy cases, while contributing to business growth through strategic initiatives.

Job Duties:

• Handle a caseload focused on debt collection matters, including initiating legal action and attending court proceedings.
• Manage collections, foreclosure, and bankruptcy cases from inception through resolution.
• Review and approve legal documents related to collections efforts, such as complaints, pleadings, and motions.
• Conduct judgment debtor examinations and enforce judgments as necessary.
• Assist with other legal duties as assigned by senior attorneys or partners.
• Utilize strong knowledge and experience in collections matters, including writs, debtor exams, and judgment enforcement.
• Multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the firm's broader practice areas beyond collections.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Emphasized experience in collections matters, including debt collection litigation.
• Proven ability to handle all aspects of collections cases, from initial assessment to enforcement of judgments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
