Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced associate to join its Shareholder Engagement and Activism Defense practice in New York. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in shareholder engagement, activism issues, corporate governance, securities law, and mergers & acquisitions.

Duties

  • Engage with shareholders and manage activism defense strategies.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mergers & acquisitions.
  • Conduct legal research and draft relevant documents.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Admitted to the New York or California bar.
  • Experience in securities law and corporate governance.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in New York or California.
