Job Overview: A law firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Securitization and Structured Finance to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in structured finance transactions, including CLOs, CMBS, and ABL finance, complemented by strong academic credentials and prior law firm experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating documentation for securitization and structured finance transactions.
  • Advising clients on legal and regulatory aspects of securitization and structured finance.
  • Conducting due diligence and risk assessment for structured finance transactions.
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys and partners on complex transactions and client matters.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments affecting securitization and structured finance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of substantive experience in securitization, structured finance, and structured products within a reputable law firm.
  • Experience with CLOs, CMBS, Repo, and other ABL finance transactions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility to waive in.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar or ability to become admitted promptly.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
